About Us

Blake is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas with a Bachelors in Business Administration. After graduation Blake worked for Morgan Stanley for 3 years as a Financial Advisor. While he loved the finance industry he was drawn to work in the outdoors and follow in his father’s footsteps and go into residential construction where he has 8 years of residential home construction experience at companies such as Lennar and David Powers Homes and 12 years of managing and training home inspectors at Lennar Homes and now his own company, Texas Certified Home Inspection. He lives in Cypress, Texas with his wife and three children.

After many years in the financial services industry, Scott became interested in learning more about residential construction and inspection. With residential remodeling under his experience belt, he turned his attention to the inspection arena. Scott joined the team at Texas Certified Home Inspection in November 2012, bringing the expertise of TCHI to the Pearland area. Scott lives in Pearland with his two children.

Mathew has been inspecting homes for over six years. After several years at a desk job, Mathew wanted to branch out into something where he could have more variety in his day and interact with people more personally, while exploring his interest in home construction. With his attention to detail and good communication skills, Mathew enjoys helping people find the right home.

Riley was raised in The Woodlands, TX in a home building family. He graduated from the University of Houston and spent several years in hotel consulting. Utilizing his communication skills and drive to help people, he pursued home inspection. He completed his training from the Champions School of Real Estate and obtained his Professional Inspectors License from the Texas Real Estate Commission. Riley lives in The Woodlands and enjoys fishing and cooking when he’s not working.

David resides in Cypress, TX with his wife and two rambunctious little boys. He enjoys taking his family fishing, hunting and camping. He graduated from Sam Houston State University, “GO BEARKATS!” with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. Thanks to his degree and his rewarding career in the restaurant and hospitality management industry he learned lifelong values of what it takes to make sure you, as the consumer, are provided with the highest level of customer care and service. David knows that the home buying process has many moving parts and that is why he continues to offer a stress-free experience as he uses his passion to serve his community and helping families find joy in their home buying process.

Matthew gained his home inspection license in 2013. Matt has been a school teacher for 30+ years and has worked in commercial construction on the side. His emphasis on a detailed inspection and great communication skills are proven assets to our clients in making informed decisions about the properties they intend to buy.

Kevin had achieved 30+ years experience in residential construction and remodeling before deciding to cross over to home inspecting in 2016. As it relates to home building, he has roofed, run electric, laid plumbing and set forms for foundations. His firsthand experience in all aspects of the construction process and his attention to detail is an invaluable benefit when inspecting homes and explaining any issues to his client.

After residing in Katy for many years, Lauren and her husband moved their two energetic boys south of Houston to give them a taste of the country life that she grew up with.
